Shanti Daya has distinguished herself as a strong and magnetic performer who plays with true musical conviction, elegance, and clarity. She has also been acclaimed to hold the rapt attention of the audience and the orchestra alike.
She received her Licentiate in Piano Performance from the Royal Schools of Music, London, her bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and was previously on the music faculty at Carroll University in Waukesha.
She has appeared as a soloist with the Malaysian National Symphony, Waukesha Symphony, Concord Chamber Orchestra, UW-Madison Symphony Orchestra, and the Kettle Moraine Symphony. Shanti also has performed solo recitals and chamber music concerts for the USIS, the US Embassy, the British Council, and the Embassy of Norway. She has also performed over NPR in Wisconsin and on Television Malaysia & Singapore.
Shanti is an active performer, pedagogist, chamber musician, maintains coaching & a private piano studio in Brookfield, Wisconsin where she resides.
